⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I completed my CBT with Kevin and Jason yesterday, and I honestly couldn’t recommend them more highly. From my very first enquiry, they stood out from every other training provider I contacted. I explained that I was an extremely underconfident rider who had dropped a bike a couple of times and was looking for a CBT not just to gain the qualification, but to build my confidence. They were the only company that took the time to respond to my concerns, offering helpful advice and reassurance by email before I’d even booked. That personal approach was what convinced me to choose them. The booking process was simple and straightforward, and when I arrived it was clear the instructors had read my notes beforehand. They already knew about my experience level and the type of bike I was hoping to ride, which immediately made me feel that I was in good hands. The training itself was excellent. I had quite a shaky start because I was so nervous, but Kevin was incredibly patient, calm and encouraging throughout the day. His coaching was clear, supportive and confidence-building, and he always made me feel safe and capable. A special mention also goes to Jason, who was a trainee instructor on the day. He was fantastic - friendly, knowledgeable and really encouraging. It was especially helpful that he had experience of a Yamaha Tricity, as that’s the bike I’m aiming to ride, so he was able to offer some really relevant advice. I’m sure he’ll make an excellent instructor and I would be happy to do more training with either Kevin or Jason. By the end of the day I’d passed my CBT, but more importantly I’d gained confidence thanks to the patience, encouragement and practical tips from both Kevin and Jason. I left feeling excited to continue my riding journey rather than nervous about it! Also a mention to my fellow student - what a fab young man who was also really encouraging and supportive to me. I’m sure he could have been a bit irritated by my slow learning but he wasn’t. His mum should be very proud! If you’re feeling anxious about learning to ride, I can’t recommend this team highly enough. Thank you all for such a positive experience!
With the years ticking by at 57, I did question my sanity about taking my CBT. However, Kevin was excellent . his knowledge and patience was exceptional. Nothing was too much trouble to go over, with an added splash of humour to make the 2 of us on the course feel at ease. Thank you - I’m even considering taking my full licence by the time my CBT expires!
Full A licence. The whole process was good from booking with Gary, the cbt and the training with Norman. I managed to pass my mod 1 and 2 with no faults. I cannot fault Norman’s training style, the constant instructions on the road solidified all the observation points into my head ready for my test. I can still hear him out on my bike now 🤣
Gary was a great instructor! Finished my CBT today and then after insuring my bike, had a splendid ride to Bath from Ferndown!!! I Felt well prepared for a safe and mindful journey after the day's instruction. Thanks Gary 👍
I completed my CBT with DAMT in October was taught by Kevin. Very knowledgeable and professional instructor and the 2:1 format made my learning experience as a new rider stress free and high quality, I suffered a crash whilst doing a U-Turn (keep in mind the bike has no crash protection) and have been made to pay £450 (will link the images for the damages which were sent to me by the company). These damages were cosmetic only and I still managed to complete the rest of the course and pass within the day. I was very suprised I was made to pay this as you would’ve thought leaner bikes get dropped all the time and get tons of cosmetic damages? I did try and obtain evidence in form of receipts to show proof that the parts were fitted but got not much further than sending me a quote of the parts instead and being told “We have run this business for over 25 years and the procedures have not changed, if you are unhappy with how we carry out our procedures this is not our concern”. So be warned, unless you are going to pay for the extra insurance charge, I would strongly recommend against this place unless you are 100% sure you will not drop or cause any minor damage to the bike, because best believe you will be made to pay dearly. The reason for the 1 star however is just how awfully the owner acted, he called my mum (which I put down as an emergency contact and gave no consent for any other reason) and started threatening her saying he would call the police due to reviews I left about the school on a Reddit page. In these reviews I made no lies and told everything truthfully, as I have done in this review here. At the time I felt threatened and bullied into deleting them because of ‘legal action’ they warned against me. In hindsight I wouldn’t have deleted a thing as defamation can only be defamation by definition if lies are being made or the truth is being obscured, none of which were true. Infact the only liar was the owner himself as he called my mum and told her I had asked my friends to make fake accounts and review bombing the Google page which I did not do. These were other users that had seen my post from reddit, I never told them to post on Google. I understand as a business you want to protect your reputation but instead of contacting me personally to deal with the situation you went straight to threatening a poor women with legal actions, lied to her about what I had done and quite honestly acted in a disgusting and appalling manner. This event took place last year but have decided to reload the review this as my original review got deleted (owner told me that was not of their choice but Google, which I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt and believe).
Mr Kevin long was my instructor. He was amazing n best. Best in bournemouth n redomended
I completed my CBT today and couldn’t have asked for a better instructor, Kevin Long, From the start, they were friendly, patient, and really good at explaining everything in a clear, straightforward way, which helped settle any nerves I had. What stood out most was their calm and supportive approach. They took the time to make sure I fully understood each part before moving on and gave helpful, constructive feedback without ever making me feel under pressure. Even when I made mistakes, they handled it in a way that built my confidence rather than knocking it. By the end of the session, I felt much more comfortable and confident on the bike, which is a real credit to their teaching style. I’d highly recommend them to anyone doing their CBT, especially if you’re new or a bit nervous to begin with.
