A1 Rider Training

A1 Rider Training is an independent motorcycle training centre located within the Millennium Motorcycle Centre complex in Liverpool. Staff are highly qualified D.S.A certified instructors who have completed the Cardington assessment course. Some staff hold post test training qualification via the DIA ADVANCED ROUTE.

Alan is a DIA ADVANCED EXAMINER. A1 Rider Training offers courses from C.B.T, all category licences, and D.I.A diamond advanced training and examination. The training site at MMC has onsite facilities including male and female bathrooms, a bistro, bike sales, MOT and service/parts department, free car parking, and a lounge.

Learner riders in the Saint Helens area consistently praise the standard of instruction at A1 Rider Training, with the CBT course emerging as the most frequently commended element. A number of customers describe Alan, Paul and Mike as patient, knowledgeable and encouraging, noting that beginners' errors were handled calmly and with clear guidance on how to improve.

A recurring theme is the practical, hands-on character of the training, with riders reporting that sessions prepared them for real road conditions rather than simply for test success. A number of reviews mention the confidence built during supervised rides, including one account of an instructor managing a near-miss with another motorist and ensuring the session finished safely. Progression from CBT through Mod 1, Mod 2 and full licence training is a common subject, with customers describing a smooth path and instructors arranging convenient dates.

Honest advice and a down-to-earth manner are also singled out, along with the sense that tuition was tailored to individual ability. Many return for further lessons or a full licence after completing initial training, and the supportive approach across on-road and off-road sessions is what riders tend to remember, with Alan in particular named for his depth of knowledge.
