Lightning Motorcycle Training

Just renewed my CBT with Jim. If anyone has nerves about a cbt, Jim is the guy to make u feel at ease from the start. Very calm and down to earth so even more reason for u to pick this centre. Thanks again Jim

Not enough stars to give! My instructor apart from a few times throughout was Steve he was brilliant with me. Always made me feel calm and reassured and always believed in me when I didn’t believe in myself. I’m so lucky to have had an Instructor like him. He was honestly brilliant from start to finish. I will actually miss my lessons with Steve. Thankyou for all that you have done for me and believing I would “be amazing” in your words when I didn’t believe in it myself. Top service and I’m so glad I chose lightening. -office could be a little better on that note, when you go to them with an issue it’s always we can’t do that or can’t change that I just feel if someone feels more comfortable with that person I think it should be listened to. However Becky was brilliant and sorted any issues I had and always responded in speedy time.

I went with Lightning for my DAS, and within 2 weeks I went from a provisional license to a full license. I initially had Steve for my CBT, he was very welcoming for my first session with them and from the get-go settled my nerves with a great sense of humour paired with a calm manner of teaching throughout - those 8 hours went by super quick. For the rest of my time with Lightning I had Jake and he was genuinely phenomenal. His ability to identify things I needed to improve on from common mistakes to even the slightest little thing that was unique to me astounds me. He read me like a book each session, and to help drive home how to correct the issue he got on the bike and replicated infront me exactly what was happening and why - which helps massively to see your mistakes from a 3rd person perspective. He pointed out all of this in a way where you never felt embarrassed, and laced humour into it where appropriate and it may sound strange but instead of being scared to make mistakes I welcomed them in my Mod 1 & Mod 2 training sessions because I knew he would identify it and always have the answer. I had a difficult life event happen around the time of my DAS sessions with Jake, and even with that he was incredibly understanding and took time to listen, relate with me and help me shake it off and pass the tests. I am going to throw my leg over my Daytona 660 I just bought in a week or so, and I feel confident in doing so after my time with these lot. Lightningpass are lucky to have him, and I was too considering he had joined them only a month prior after instructing for years elsewhere. Thank you.

At the young age of 49 I had never ridden a motorcycle. I took the introductory to riding course with john and wow what an experience 1 week later I was back again and john was once again my tutor. This man's knowledge and love for bikes and his job was beyond belief. He made sure I was happy and comfortable through every step of the way . Never did I think I would do my CBT but I did and completely too . can't wait to start training for me next steps to a full licence but for this season I will enjoy my CBT thanks for everything John see you soon

Just renewed my CBT with them. First class from start to finish. Jim was a tremendous instructor, patient, calm and he had some great tips and advice that has improved my riding no end! Can't recommend them highly enough. Will be booking my mod 1 and mod 2 with them soon!

I recently undertook an intro lesson with John and completed my CBT with Steve. Both were fantastic in their instruction and so helpful! I felt very safe and incredibly supported throughout. Couldn’t recommend them both enough! Looking forward to returning in a few weeks to start working towards my full licence :-)
