About the company

Cambridge Moto Class is a DVSA-approved motorcycle training school based in Cambridge. The school is a new training provider, founded by an instructor with over nine years in the driving and riding instructor business and more than thirty years of riding experience. It offers to show its licence and credentials before a session starts. No deposit or payment is required up front; payment is taken at the start of the session.

An optional £20 liability waiver covers accidental damage to training motorcycles; without it, riders are liable for up to £500 insurance excess. Training is provided across Cambridgeshire. Courses include CBT training, full licence training (A1, A2, A), pre-CBT training, step up sessions, gear conversion, Module 1 and Module 2 training, and a rusty rider refresher course.

What customers say

Based on genuine customer reviews

Near Station Lane in Offord Cluny, on the outskirts of St Neots, Cambridge Moto Class draws consistent praise for the calm, patient manner of its instruction, with Máté named repeatedly as an instructor who explains manoeuvres clearly and lets pupils progress at their own pace. Several reviewers describe returning to riding after long gaps, sometimes decades, and mention feeling reassured rather than rushed during CBT and pre-CBT sessions, with one parent noting a son's enjoyment of a pre-CBT course ahead of his full CBT.

The Rusty Rider refresher course comes up as a good option for those regaining confidence after years away from bikes, with sessions kept slow and steady before moving onto the road. One review highlights simple, clear explanations that suited a non-native English speaker, with every question answered without pressure. A well structured lesson and a welcoming, friendly environment are mentioned by more than one pupil, alongside straightforward booking.

Máté is the name that recurs most often across sessions covering pre-CBT one-to-ones and full CBT training, with pupils describing him as knowledgeable and encouraging when a technique finally clicks. With training available every day of the week according to the opening hours, the school appears to accommodate riders looking to fit sessions around other commitments, whether starting out or working towards a full motorcycle licence.

Did CBT with Mate. Spent 6 hours learning theory and practice. Great communication, there were appointments available within couple of weeks and great training.

Getting back on a bike after 20 years was daunting, and I knew I needed a training facility that would make me feel comfortable and supported. I wasn’t looking to rush the process — I needed somewhere that would allow me to take things slowly, rebuild my confidence, and gradually get comfortable on a bike again. Having to do my licence all over again, the CBT training was exceptional. It was personal, thorough, and really well structured, with the Highway Code explained clearly throughout. The one-to-one tuition was particularly good, and the instructor took his time to explain everything properly, making sure I understood and felt comfortable before moving on. The training motorcycles were also in excellent condition. They were clean, well maintained, and clearly looked after, which made a big difference when you’re trying to build confidence back up on a bike. I can highly recommend this training school and wouldn’t hesitate to use them again. A fantastic experience from start to finish.

I recently completed my CBT with Cambridge Moto Class. The instruction was fantastic. Informative, easy to understand and apply, and delivered in a calm, confident, and patient manner. I will happily continue my journey to an A class license with them. I can highly recommend.

I had my Rusty Rider refresher course after nearly 20 years away from motorcycles. Mate was brilliant at explaining everything clearly, taking things at a slow and steady pace. After two hours, we headed out onto the road and the experience was great! I highly recommend the course to anyone looking to regain their confidence after time away from riding.
