How much does Motorcycle training cost in Brighton? (2026 price guide)
Compulsory Basic Training (CBT), required before riding on the road, typically costs £120-£180 for the one-day course. Full licence training packages covering theory, Module 1 and Module 2 tests usually run £400-£700 depending on how many practical hours are included, with the DVSA test fees charged separately at around £15-£75.
Price is affected mainly by the licence category being trained for (A1, A2 or full A), the number of additional hours needed beyond the standard package, whether a bike is provided for training and test use, and local demand for training slots. Riders switching between bike sizes as they progress through licence categories may need extra top-up sessions.
Choosing a DVSA-approved training body and asking whether bike hire and test fees are included in the headline price helps avoid unexpected extra costs.
