Yorkshire Driving Instructor

Alastair is great! Very friendly and adaptable. As someone with lots of experience driving in another country (USA) Alastair was able to help me gain confidence driving on the left side of the road and adapting my manoeuvres. He prepared me to drive on all types of roads and conditions enabling me to pass on my first try. I would highly recommend!

Alistair is a top class driving instructor - as good as it gets. Informative, supportive, clear, supremely knowledgable and ultimately very effective. Would recommend to anybody wanting an easy, straightforward driving lesson experience :-)

Massive thanks to Alistair for helping me pass my driving test today! I started lessons with him in late March and had absolutely no driving experience before then. He’s really friendly and easy to get along with, which made lessons enjoyable and helped settle any nerves. He explains things in a way that’s easy to understand and never makes you feel rushed or stressed. I always felt comfortable asking questions and knew exactly what I needed to work on. I’d definitely recommend Alistair to anyone learning to drive, especially if you’re starting from scratch like I was. Thanks again for all the help!

Alistair is hands down the best driving instructor in York. Trust me, I've sampled the competition. I've had instructors cancel lessons, claim illness on test day (twice!), tell me they wouldn't take me to my test because I "wasn't ready," and somehow manage to destroy my confidence while charging me for the privilege. Alistair was the complete opposite. He doesn't drag lessons out for extra money. He doesn't fill your head with doubt. He tells you exactly what you need to work on, gets you test ready, and actually believes in his students. If Alistair were a brand, his slogan would be: "Underpromise. Overdeliver." Or perhaps: "Less drama, more driving." Calm, honest, reliable, and genuinely invested in helping you pass. If you're looking for a driving instructor in York, stop searching you've found him

Thank you so much for all your help! I passed first time thanks to my lessons with Alastair. My lessons pushed me to try more challenging routes which prepared me very well for my test and for driving as a newly passed driver. I was always welcomed to ask questions and was given thoughtful answers which also helped me develop. Thank you so much again!

Fantastic, cannot recommend highly enough. I booked Yorkshire Driving Instructor for an advanced driving session to refresh my skills, point out any bad habits picked up in 20 years of driving and rebuild my confidence after a car accident. He did not disappoint and gave some honest and constructive feedback with great tips on how to improve. I feel more confident and comfortable on the road than I have done in a long time. A great experience.

Alastair was the perfect instructor for my daughter. He was calm and easy to talk to, easing any nerves quickly. I would 100% recommend Alastair :)
