MSM Rider Driver Training

MSM Rider & Driver Training is a family-owned motorbike and car training school. It has been serving the community for over 20 years. The school has Grade A DVSA rated instructors. It operates from two locations: Hull and Lincoln. The Hull location is well-established and has been helping students achieve driving success for years.

The Lincoln location is new. Motorcycle training includes CBT, A1, A2, DAS, and ERS, plus off-road and on-road training. Car driving lessons and Pass Plus schemes are also offered. Driving instructor training is available on a flexible pay-as-you-go basis.

New riders with little or no prior experience on two wheels feature heavily in the feedback for this Preston Road training centre, with several describing arriving as complete novices and leaving having finished CBT on a geared machine within a single day. Instructors named repeatedly include Calvin and Mike, both credited with a calm, encouraging manner that helped nervous beginners settle and gain confidence as the session progressed.

Riders continuing their training beyond the basic certificate also appear often, with mentions of full motorcycle test preparation and separate post-test coaching focused on slow control exercises such as turning in the road and clutch work, alongside a shift from feeling unsettled on the bike to riding with more assurance. The instructors are frequently described as knowledgeable and easy-going, keeping sessions relaxed without losing a professional edge.

A number of riders mention returning for further coaching or renewing their certificate after a gap of a couple of years, pointing to continued confidence in the same team. Based at Poorhouse Lane off Preston Road, the centre is open every day of the week from eight in the morning until seven in the evening, giving flexibility to those working training around jobs or other commitments while moving from first-time rider towards a full licence.
