Matt - Professional Driving Instructor

Matt is a Grade A driving instructor who set up his own driving school in 2001. He qualified and worked for seven years with BSM before establishing the school. Since 2003, he has been based in South Liverpool. Lessons are conducted around Speke Test Centre, covering most of south Liverpool.

Instruction is provided on a one-to-one basis by Matt himself, who is a member of the DVSA. Services include mock tests, Pass Plus courses, professional driving lessons, refresher lessons and test preparation. Lessons can be picked up and dropped off from home, work, school or university. A safe and comfortable, modern dual-controlled car is used for instruction.

Matt - Professional Driving Instructor builds its reputation on a calm and patient teaching manner that learners repeatedly describe as settling their nerves and steadily growing their confidence behind the wheel. Several customers mention that Matt explains each topic clearly, breaking down manoeuvres and tricky junctions step by step, and many point to his use of diagrams as particularly helpful for processing instructions. Familiarity with the test routes around Speke, including its varying speeds and demanding junctions, comes up often, and learners credit that local knowledge with making their test day feel manageable.

Reviewers describe lessons that are well organised and adapted around busy schedules, with feedback given after mistakes in a constructive and unhurried way. A recurring theme is preparation that goes beyond simply passing, with drivers feeling equipped for situations they will meet afterwards. Matt is named directly in accounts as friendly, informative and supportive, and the goodwill expressed by those who passed first time is consistent. The instruction extends to safety and courteous driving habits as well as test technique, which learners value long after their lessons end.
