What customers say

Based on genuine customer reviews

CBT sessions, module one and module two preparation, and full direct access training are all covered, with instructors including Simon, Ewan, Stuart, Sebastian, Nick and Laurie named across numerous accounts. A theme that comes up often is the contrast between instructor styles, with Ewan described as firm and direct, allowing learners to work through mistakes on their own, while Simon and Stuart are portrayed as calm and methodical, breaking each stage down with care.

Several riders report success at both stages of testing on their first try, and beginners starting from scratch on a moped are mentioned as receiving clear guidance through the basics alongside a strong emphasis on road safety. Office support, including a named coordinator called Karen, is noted for arranging sessions close to test dates and keeping bookings well organised.

Those who progressed through the whole pathway, from CBT to the final licence stage, often remark that the differing approaches between trainers complemented one another rather than causing confusion, helping to build both technical ability and confidence on the road. Based on Balls Pond Road in north London, the school runs weekday sessions from half past eight in the morning until six in the evening, with no weekend opening at this particular location.

I recently took my motorcycle training with Ewan, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. He is strict, no doubt about it — he expects focus, proper form, and full commitment during every exercise. At times it felt intense, but that’s exactly why I improved so quickly. His feedback is direct and honest, never sugar-coated, which helped me correct bad habits I didn’t even know I had. By the end of the course, I felt genuinely confident and passed my Mod 1 test. If you’re serious about becoming a skilled rider and not just looking for an easy pass, Ewan is the instructor you want. His toughness comes from years of riding experience. I can’t wait to take my Mod 2 training with him. Just waiting on availability.

I recently attended this centre to renew my CBT, and unfortunately, my experience was very disappointing. The instructor was extremely strict and even told me to ride at 30 mph on a road with a 20 mph speed limit. He also criticised several things that I believe were unfair. Renewing a CBT is expensive, and many people are already under financial pressure. Spending an entire day only to fail because of an overly harsh assessment is incredibly frustrating, especially if your job depends on it. The instructor also put me under unnecessary pressure throughout the training, which made the experience stressful instead of educational. In my opinion, this is not the right approach for someone renewing a CBT. I would not recommend this training centre.

I am very happy with my CBT training. Sebastian was an excellent instructor. He explained everything clearly, was patient, and helped me build my confidence throughout the training. Thanks to his professional teaching and guidance, I passed my CBT successfully. I would highly recommend Sebastian to anyone taking their CBT training. Thank you, Sebastian! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Just passed my first CBT with Nick in West Ham. He was a very good instructor. Emphasised the dangers of biking, while still building my confidence to ride safely. Will be back in about a year for my mod1&2. Highly recommend.

I did my CBT recently on a 50cc moped and had Laurie as my instructor — he was excellent from start to finish. His instructions were clear and easy to follow, and he took the time to explain everything thoroughly without ever rushing. Laurie is incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and professional, and it’s clear he genuinely cares about his students’ safety and success. The session was well-paced and professional, and Laurie created a relaxed learning environment which made it easy to focus. I felt well-prepared and confident throughout. I was hoping to do the CBT on a geared bike or at least a 125cc scooter, but it was still a really good experience overall. Would definitely recommend Laurie to anyone taking their CBT. Moving onto doing Mod 1 this year. Had instructor Simon on test day. He was patient, knowledgeable. Passed it first time and can’t recommend Simon enough! Simon took the time in explaining how manoeuvre should be done clearly. Gave us some tips for Mod 2 on the way back from our Mod 1 too. Karen and her team in the office was helpful with booking classes and test. Can definitely recommend.

Writing this review as I passed my full A licence unrestricted. The LMT team was professional and supportive, taking the time to elevate and better my skills on the motorbike. I went straight into the A licence without owning a bike before, and managed to pass both the Mod 1 and Mod 2 on their first attempts, thanks to the wise guidance from Simon and Stuart. As others say on their reviews, both have their own teaching styles which exposes you to different learning methods. My advice would be, not shying away from taking as much training as required. This ensures you are both well prepped for the test and also real life situations. My experience with LMT was fantastic overall. I highly recommend to anyone looking to pass their bike licence.

I would 1000% recommend this school and its instructors! With their guidance I managed to pass both my mod 1 and mod 2 unrestricted first try! Both Ewan and Simon have a lot of experience and passion for their job and cannot thank them enough! (they’re also pretty cool guys) It really does feel like they’re dads to all of the people going through this moto school
