Chiltern Motorcycle Training

Having done many many motorcycle training courses at various schools over the years, I can honestly say that instructors like Dave are almost impossible to come by. To have such a wealth of knowledge and experience, being able to pass this on fluidly, concisely and in a light hearted digestible manner is a rare natural gift that he possesses. You are not taken for a 2-3 hour ride through stop-start 20mph town traffic like most other schools. Instead you actually get to ride the motorcycle on open meandering roads, experiencing the physics of accelerating, braking and cornering on a motorcycle whilst doing some considerable mileage. As an added bonus, you travel through some amazing scenery and the beautiful country side. This for me captured the true essence of motorcycling and the freedom it gives. Along the route Dave provisioned a complimentary refreshment break at one of the hand picked biker specific spots. This thoughtful gesture initiates the student into the welcoming biker community, helping to further their confidence and knowledge on aspects that they may not be otherwise exposed to, like future motorcycle purchases, apparel, equipment choices and just general banter! Despite being in the industry for over 20 years, this is testament to Dave's undying passion and efforts to nurture conscious, safe motorcyclists who will enjoy riding for many many years to come. I didn't get a chance to thank you properly in person Dave, as I enjoyed myself so much, it was an absolute pleasure training with you. Regardless of how long I have ridden for I have definitely learnt invaluable things during the course.

Took my CBT with Chiltern motorcycle training. Honestly one of the best ones around. David was friendly, helpful and patient. Just an all round nice guy made the whole experience pleasant and relaxed. Would definitely recommend to others that want CBT or higher training.

I had tried to pass my CBT before, with other schools, but wasn't good enough to do so on the day. This had made me very nervous. I was recommended to contact Dave at Chiltern by a bike dealer my partner had bought a bike from. I am so glad I did. He is patient, thorough and made sure that I reached a really high standard before giving me my certificate. As a result, I went back to him to train for my full licence, which I now hold- I never thought I would, but his high standard of training and his encouragement of me made the tests feel if not easy, at least within my capability. I can't recommend him highly enough- I have learned skills above and beyond the test requirements to keep me safer on the road.

For anyone looking to take their CBT or full access, Dave at Chiltern Motorcycle training is the man you want to teach you. I had never sat on a motorbike, let alone even ridden one, yet under Dave's supervision and tuition,( which I found to be firm, but also fair) ( I passed my CBT and I found the whole experience a total joy. What can I say. Dave at Chiltern motorcycle training. What a trainer. I was nervous at the start. He made me feel at ease.From the moment I arrived. With Daves training by the end i felt like a very competent rider. Left with my certificate and a massive smile. That going to be hard to remove 5 stars all the way. As arnie said.
