I don’t want someone else to go through the same thing. I’m dyslexic, although it has very little effect on my day-to-day life. However, once my instructor Rob knew this, it felt like he had already decided I was incapable before giving me a fair chance. At one point, while he was in the corridors speaking to his wife on the phone, I overheard him talking about his bad day and it made me feel like I was a burden rather than a learner who deserved patience and support. The whole experience completely ruined my confidence with driving. Instead of feeling encouraged or helped to improve, I left feeling upset, embarrassed and like I wasn’t capable. I would only recommend this course to someone who already has driving experience and confidence. The idea of passing quickly is tempting, but it is not worth the risk of being stuck with an instructor who makes you feel worse. With weekly lessons, you have the option to change instructor if things are not working out. With an intensive course, everything feels rushed and intense, and if the instructor is not right for you, it can really damage your confidence. I’m sure some people have positive experiences, but sadly mine was not one of them.
DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. Didn’t even fulfill the ‘5 days’ as instructor was absent which we were never refunded or given the day missed. A year later and still no test!!! Tried to complain but refused to sort the issue. The price you pay for this course is absolute robbery and they will not even fulfill their contractual obligations. Terrible customer service, will breach consumer rights and do absolutely nothing to rectify. Terrible.
I would like to clarify that my instructor was fantastic and all resources surrounding learning on both practical and theory aspects were outstanding. BUT if you are considering taking this course I would highly recommend coming with a test already booked and neglecting the test booking services they offer. Month after month for nearly a year I am being told there is nothing that can be done by them to help me find a test. Begging the question why offer the service if for no other reason then to take money with no intention on delivering a service. Horrendous. Would 100% avoid and go with alternate training.
PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE BOOKING A COURSE! I booked a 5-day course in August 2024 and after waiting for 15 months, I was finally given a test date for May 2026. Yes, I know the DVSA has long waiting times (around 11 months), but this company completely misled me. They bragged about having a “dedicated team” who would find me an earlier test within 4 months — which was clearly just a line to take my money. How on earth do they expect anyone to do a 5-day course and then somehow keep it all fresh for 21 months before a test? It’s ridiculous. They clearly don’t care about their customers at all — just about getting paid. My course reference number is - SD-Y19P7, incase you claim this review is fake!
Idris was an amazing instructor and I couldn’t have passed first time without his help and dedication. I’m very grateful for his accommodation to timings that suited me, the effort in his lessons with learning aids like roundabout maps with little toy cars for demonstration and his calm teaching methods
I Had Mo as my instructor and he was brilliant!! He was very calm, patient and funny. Just a genuine nice guy Passed my test today!! Thanks Mo!!
did the course back in march, felt like i hadn’t learnt anything rob was my instructor he was not patient at all which you should expect when your first learning to drive. he gave me a piece of paper and crossed off everything i did but had taught me stuff once and marked that i could do it independently. he slagged off another learner to me which made me feel extremely uncomfortable. the course is very over priced for what it is most days we spent the whole time driving around the same road doing the same junction meaning i couldn’t learn other things. he’d shout at me if i stalled (which only happened once or twice) or got in the wrong lane because his instructions made no sense. he made me do a mock test on the friday which had me under pressure because i did not know anything he then made me pull over and asked if i was stressed because of my mum putting pressure on me which was not the case and i hadn’t even said anything about my mum putting pressure on me. the theory training was good for people who hadn’t done much practice before however the lady didn’t go through hazard perception much but she was lovely and had everyone interacting. overall i do not recommend wasting your money on 5days go and get a private instructor who is patient and make you feel comfortable.
