Wheelwise, based on Collingwood Road in Southsea, Portsmouth, is consistently linked in reviews to one named instructor, Caroline, whose teaching style is described repeatedly as patient, calm and encouraging. Several accounts mention arriving as complete beginners or as nervous learners who had struggled with confidence, and note how a steady, reassuring approach helped them settle into lessons.

A detail many reviews return to is clear explanation of what is required for the test, with a number of pupils reporting a first-time pass and one describing a result with only a single minor fault. Reviewers often mention feeling genuinely listened to rather than rushed, with lessons kept relaxed even when nerves were an issue. One review also refers to a switch from previous instructors who had shown less patience, suggesting a contrast that worked in the pupil's favour once tuition began here.

The overall tone across the feedback is one of gratitude for time invested and for a teaching manner that suited a range of personalities, from anxious first-timers to those who had nearly given up before continuing with lessons here. The school operates on Collingwood Road in Southsea with weekday availability stretching into the evening until 8pm and Saturday sessions running until 5pm, offering flexibility for those fitting lessons around work or college commitments.
