Top Marks Automatic Driving School Belfast

Top Marks Automatic Driving School Belfast was established in 2009 and specialises in automatic driving lessons. Its instructors are DOE/ADI approved, and the team includes Mark, Neil, Glen, Roji, Henry and Tom. The service area covers East, South, North and West Belfast, plus Newtownards. The school focuses 100% on automatic tuition. It offers automatic driving lessons, refresher courses, motorway driving lessons, and mock tests and theory training. It has a partnership with Oakland Insurance.

Automatic-only tuition is the focus at this Braniel Road school, where instructors Glen and Mark are named repeatedly by learners describing a calm, unhurried teaching style. A theme that recurs is the rebuilding of confidence after previous setbacks, with several pupils mentioning long breaks from driving, anxiety, or discouraging experiences with earlier instructors before finding a steadier approach here. Reviewers describe clear step-by-step explanations, including the use of overhead images of junctions and routes near the test centre to help pupils understand manoeuvres before attempting them on the road.

Patience is mentioned consistently, with instructors said to stay composed and encouraging even when mistakes are made, and lessons are described as comfortable rather than stressful. A number of pupils note passing on their first attempt after feeling genuinely prepared, while older learners and those with anxiety describe feeling particularly well accommodated. The school operates long weekday hours from eight until eight on most days, with Friday finishing earlier and Saturday sessions available until two in the afternoon, giving flexibility for those fitting lessons around work or study. Based in east Belfast, the school's automatic-only approach appears well suited to pupils seeking a straightforward, low-pressure route to a full licence.
