What customers say

Based on genuine customer reviews

From a base at St Michael's Catholic Church on Coalway Road in Penn, this Wolverhampton provider runs training covering compulsory basic training through to Direct Access preparation for a full motorcycle licence. An observation shared by more than one reviewer is the patience shown by instructors, particularly Nick and Dan, who are credited with helping nervous or inexperienced riders build confidence from the first session, sometimes after an earlier CBT attempt had not gone well.

Several accounts describe passing both practical modules with clear explanations of manoeuvres, honest feedback on test readiness and reassurance when nerves affected performance on the day. Riders progressing from a 125cc machine towards a full licence mention instructors working to correct habits picked up while riding solo, with Dan and Nick both named for their calm, knowledgeable approach during module preparation.

Aidan is noted as helpful with phone bookings and course information. The bikes and equipment supplied are described positively, and trainers are said to offer practical tips beyond the immediate test requirements. Where a first CBT or module attempt was unsuccessful, pupils describe receiving clear guidance on what to improve before retaking, along with a reduced rate for a repeat CBT session, reflecting a supportive approach for those needing extra time to gain confidence on the road.

Took my CBT on Tuesday with Paul and Mark. Nervous to do it but they made feel relaxed and walked the learners through the plan for the day. Kitted us up with items we hadn’t got such as Helmet, Jacket and Gloves, providing a safety briefing, how to maintain bikes and then safe manoeuvres and control on a car park. If they (crucially) and you felt comfortable from the morning learning session to be safe on the road, they took us out after lunch for a 2hr ride. Highly professional, supportive and knowledgeable and would recommend. Will return for a conversion course prior to taking the full licence to ensure I’m ready.

Got my full licence today thanks to Riders Wolverhampton! I had been riding my 125 for almost a year prior to taking my MOD 1 and MOD 2, and although this was great for helping me build my confidence, I had picked up some bad habits. My instructor Dan, who was with me throughout both modules, was friendly, patient, and explained things in a way that made them very easy to understand. Nick, although primarily with another group of riders, was also very friendly and helpful. Passed both my modules first time around, I would highly recommend this school to anyone at any level!

I completed my CBT today, I had Matt as my instructor for the car park training and road training. Fantastic instructor, very calm, patient and extremel helpful. Was in 30+ degree heat all day and Matt made sure we had enough breaks and water to keep us cool and hydrated. Would highly recommend, had a fantastic day thank you Riders, hopefully I will see you again when I decide to go for my Mod 1 and Mod 2!

Extremely patient and knowledgeable trainer. I was extremely nervous about taking the course but Nick made me feel comfortable and was very patient with me. I didn't pass my CBT first time due to my own nerves and inexperience but I learnt a lot due advice and patience of the trainers. They also gave me good advice on how to prepare to retake, which I can do at a discounted price. If anyone is nervous about taking their CBT like I was, this is a fantastic school to use. The trainers are not judgemental and very understanding. I can't recommend them enough. Update: Went back for another CBT and passed. I'd like to thank Nick and Mark for their patience and excellent instruction. They really helped me to build my confidence and skills.

October 2025, at the tender age of 54, I passed my CBT under the tuition of Mark Burrows and Nick. As essentially a novice rider I didn't complete the CBT in one sitting, so I was taught slow speed control rather than completing parts D and E at the first attempt. Both trainers were extremely patient and polite and we were not rushed during the course of tasks. All exercises were safely performed with the trainer providing guidance and positive feedback and time for a breather (it is intense). I'd like to thank them both for their professionalism with a bit of humour thrown in to ease the nerves. March 2026, I returned for a DAS conversion course after 'getting to grips' with slow speed control on my cheap 125. Dan was my instructor for the day and was on a par with Nick and Mark. Dan was a competent instructor who made sure I was comfortable with my progress and patiently provided instruction and pointed out areas for improvement. We had a pleasant ride out after lunch and had a visit the test centre as part of the on road lesson. The sun was out for a change so the ride was a very pleasant one. I'm booking myself in for a 3 day DAS course next week. Thanks Dan for a great day. May 2026. Module 1 and 2 tests passed after DAS training which was most enjoyable on the larger bikes. Thanks again Dan for your assistance and instruction. Looking forward to getting out on a larger bike when it stops raining. I intend to return to Riders for additional training after some time out in the wild!

Really happy with the instructors who taught me and helped me not only pass my cbt, but also to go out with the knowledge and confidence to be ready to tackle the roar. Passed my cbt turn around, the first time i came was with casual clothing(was given jacket, vest, gloves and a helmet to use🙏) and the wheather was horrendous but Nick still allowed me to learn and practice in the parking lot to allow me to better my skills and confidence. Second time round, Dan and Nick we're very helpful in helping me pick off where I was left off last time(figure of 8) and thanks to the great wheather we had a great ride on the road(aprox. 2hrs). It was truly inspiring to see their passion in making sure that we students we're learning the right way and avoiding things that would become bad habits later on. They informed us well not only on the riding but also on maintenence and what to look for when getting a bike. Come here if you want to do your cbt with passionate but patient professionals. -Flav
