High quality training with very experienced instructors. Throughout my training I worked with a total of 4 instructors - Karl, Wayne, Steve and Rich, all of whom are extremely knowledgeable and demonstrated a very strong and skilful approach to keeping me safe whilst learning to ride. This is particularly important when learning to ride on fast, busy roads as an inexperienced rider, and significantly enhanced my learning experience.
Well what can I say apart from a great team of people from Dave booking me in for Mod 1 & Mod 2 at quite short notice then it was panic time. First day was Mod 1 Training with Karl settled the nerves immediately, gave me confidence and honest feedback which if you really listen you will get through no problem. Second day was some Mod 2 training on the road with Rich before the Mod 1 test the same day. Rich was great, very calm and confidence inspiring, again really honest feedback from him and lots of great advice which really helped me. Passed Mod1 just having made a silly mistake on the U-turn🫣. Third day more Mod2 practice next the test in Banbury. Having never been there before I was really nervous and made some mistakes which knocked me a bit but Rich just kept pushing me through it and kept me calm and confident on the bike. Honestly I felt I wasn’t ready for the test and having a chat with Rich before hand helped me a lot. Being so nervous before the test when I got on the bike there was no nerves, I felt calm and I thought whatever happens just enjoy it and learn what you can for next time. Got back from what felt like a 10 minute ride and thought I’d done something stupid. The Examiner said congratulations on passing and with 0 faults. WHAT? I was shocked, Rich probably also haha. Then the ride back to Oxford with Rich well was one of the best feelings ever. I can’t thank Dave, Karl and especially Rich for two long days helping me through it. I Will be back for the Enhanced Rider Scheme sometime soon. Highly recommended from me! Thanks all, Ricky
Brilliant experience of training for and passing CBT at OXMT's Witney site with instructor Mark. My experienced biker husband also had a brilliant training session with Mark to learn advanced riding techniques. Excellent, confidence-inspiring instruction. Mark is calm, very knowledgeable and highly professional. He adapts his teaching for a wide range of trainees, men and women, from 20s-50s. Highly recommend for total beginners wanting to gain confidence or experienced bikers looking to up-skill.
Massive thank you to the team here! I was a bit nervous starting out, but the instructors are so patient and friendly they really helped build my confidence right from day one. The whole training process was super smooth and clear. I ended up passing all my tests on the first go! I couldn't recommend them enough to anyone wanting to get their motorcycle licence. Five stars all the way! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
After getting my CBT last year it took me a year before I bought my first bike. I had been out a few times with friends but I decided it was sensible to get some extra training to refresh myself and make sure I was riding safely. I had a great 1-2-1 lesson with Mark. We had a really fun ride and worked on everything I was uncertain about, and ironed out some bad habits I had started to develop. Mark is incredibly patient, knowledgable, generous with his time and a lovely person. He has really built my confidence on the bike and made me a safer rider. The extra training after I had taken a break was so beneficial and my friends commented on how much my riding had improved - it was that noticeable! Would highly recommend!
Dave and Richard have been fantastic supporting me through my training!! Kind and professional blokes that certainly went the extra mile! Would definitely recommend 💯🙏
DO NOT look anywhere else!! QuickStart OXMT Kidlington couldn’t have been any more helpful or professional with my motorcycle needs. Having no real geared bike experience these guys had me training and passing my CBT, MOD1 & MOD2 all within the space of 3 weeks. At each element, CBT Stu, MOD1 Karl (and his sidekick) and MOD2 Rich were all patient and excellent teachers. Particular ‘nod’ to Rich who helped me out with an extra days training prior to my MOD2 test, Rich was very accommodating when we arranged to go out early due the very hot weather. When pulling up at the test site with other motorcycle trainers and their students also present, QuickStart did look the most professional of them all. One final note - At the ‘end’ of each training day, each of the instructors checked to see if you wanted a little more time on the bike to practice anything that we/I wasn’t 100% with, I thought this was a nice gesture.
