4.5 / 5 · 170 totalI happy to work with this school on my full A license . I had very good teacher as Rachael, she was best person to deal with. She was amazing to learn and carry on thru the training sessions.I will advise as she is the best to learn on the students on full license. Passed Mod 1 & Mod 2 on first attempt so happy days 😁🏍️🔥. Good luck for everyone 👍
I read the reviews before booking and was so excited to do a CBT and start my bike journey with this company. I bought all the gear stated, had my theory booked and was ready to rock....I've never even sat on a bike before, let alone start one and ride it....after a lot of banter and a some what drawn out chaotic start from Rachel (although she never actually introduced herself) we got the bikes out, the guy with me was a refresher...had been riding off and on for a decade or so and was his 3rd cbt, he knew what he was doing....I got a 2 minute crash course on how to use the gears and then was sent off....I didn't crash, managed to stop, all beit clumsily, didn't drop the bike...after 5 minutes of riding round the car park I was told I wouldn't be going on the road as my clutch control and gears weren't good enough....it had been 10 minutes, not even time to settle in....she carried on doing the elements at which we practiced at best, 10 minutes each one (with me in first gear mostly) After about 45 minutes the bikes were back up the hill and we did 'classroom' stuff, that again was chaotic, disorganised and lackluster in approach really. And that was it, by 12.30 I was on my way home...feeling pretty awful, with instructions to organise a continuation of the CBT by contacting a lady on WhatsApp who 'was very busy so probably won't see my message' I've messaged 4 times at the time of review and called...all to no avail, I'm left feeling frustrated, humiliated and genuinely let down by the experience, £170 to ride around a carpark for 45 minutes and then be ghosted. I've since passed my theory test and will be taking it and my £1100 bike course money to a company who CAN be bothered to answer the phone and has assured me they will actually train me. I'm genuinely gutted to have had such a rubbish experience when a lot of other people have had a brilliant one, I'm an easy going, positive person, and not one to willingly write bad reviews but I will not be recommending fatboys to a novice rider. 😟
Went for my CBT, first of all immediate props to fatboy MCT for still running in a heatwave 👏👏 Met with the instructor, Rachel (who in all honesty would make this review stretch out to a small novel if I said anymore, let's just say if you've got her you are in for a great day) Morning started with a rundown of safety gear, in which I learnt a fair amount I didn't know, including a good demonstration of what to look for. Really great for new riders to know what to buy! Then was a thorough check of the bikes and how you should maintain them, very informative and useful, you should always know about the machine you are riding. Some practicals next, focusing on clutch control, Lifesavers and turns, figures of 8 and then the emergency stop. All presented very well and the instructor giving excellent feedback after every segment. Highway code next, the instructor will check your knowledge so you really do need to study the highway code, all of it, not just the bits for bikes! Then off we went on the road part of the training, an absolutely delightful run around testing all the stuff you've just learned before getting back and concluding the course. All in all, an incredibly fun and rewarding experience, a bit later down the line I wouldn't think twice in doing further bike training and tests with them. I'd highly recommend if you've never touched a bike to check out any intro stuff they do before taking your CBT, the trainers are all open to teaching you the best way possible for you, so make the most of that! Fatboy gets a fat 10/10 from me! Rachel gets 100/10
I did my CBT training at fatboys 7 months ago, today did my das course and passed first time. You won't find a better company to do your training with. Staff are very relaxed, helpful and informative. I highly recommend fatboys. Thank you fatboys
After Recovering after a s Stroke and not driving after a month, I was worried getting back on my bike again. I had problems getting there on the day which was stressful. But from the moment I arrived, the support was fantastic. The training was structured, safe and delivered in a positive/professional way. I would highly recommend these guys.
I passed my MOD2 today! My experience with Fatboy was fantastic for a few key reasons (apologies for the essay): 1)Supportive Environment: The team is incredibly understanding; they treat mistakes as learning opportunities rather than being overly critical. 2)Genuine Care: You can tell they truly want you to pass rather than just keeping you as a customer. They are personable, easy to talk to, and clearly invested in getting you to pass your test. 3)Great Structure: The course is well-planned. Adey explained what the plan was and did not throw me in the deep end immediately. If you haven’t ridden since your CBT, I highly recommend taking a few extra lessons to lower the pressure for the test. You practice in the training area and then you go on the road, you then have a break to discuss what went great, what went badly, but most importantly they talk to you like a person. 4)Reliable Gear: All their bikes are well-maintained and reliable, which gives you the confidence to focus entirely on your riding.
Staff make you feel welcome and once on the bikes teach and make you feel relaxed all moves explain in detail . I highly recomend fats boys and will be do my A1 A2 With them .over Great staff relaxed day
