Doran did a great job of getting Chris up to speed quickly with his driving. He is very calm and gave specific areas for chris to focus on. Chris enjoyed his driving lessons and was delighted with his pass first time.

I'd really recommend En Route Driving school, and Dorran as an instructor. The whole team were very communcative, clearly explaining any changes to lessons in a timely manner, as well as changes to my instructors availability. They made the whole process easy. Dorran is a fantastic instructor. He asked in my first lessons about my learning style and worked with me to explain everything clearly. If I made any mistakes during lessons he always took the time to go over it with me so that I would know what to work on next time. During lessons he put me at ease, chatting where appropriate to the road around us. Even though I failed the first driving test, he used the feedback from that to tailor my next lesson, which helped me to pass on my second attempt. I know I will be able to use the skills and knowledge I have learned in my lessons to be a safe driver on the roads.

I would like to leave very positive feedback for Dorran and En Route Driving School for the amazing experience I had during my intensive driving course, which led to me passing the driving test on the first attempt! I believe it’s very important to have the right person teaching you how to drive because of the dynamic nature of driving itself. Dorran was always calm and encouraging. When I was not understanding something or repeating the same mistakes, he would always come up with another explanation, constantly thinking about what would work best for me. Driving for many hours every day is not easy, especially when you are so new to the whole concept of driving a car. He was always friendly and smiley, and we had great conversations even outside the course scope, although he never lost focus on my progress. The way he structured my lessons was great, even under the quite strict time constraints of the intensive course. I agree with other reviewers here that Dorran has such high standards for his pupils that even during the test, when I was so nervous and making mistakes, I still performed up to the test standard. Thank you, Dorran, and thank you, Jovelyn, for being so helpful and coordinating the whole process smoothly. It was my pleasure to work with En Route Driving School, and I would recommend it to anyone who wants to learn how to drive safely and pass the driving test on the very first attempt. I believe that if everyone learned how to drive with an instructor like Dorran, the roads would be a much safer place.

Cannot recommend Dorran enough. Myself and my boyfriend both passed first time this year with him through an intensive course, and he is an incredible instructor. He teaches to such a high standard that even when nerves got the better of me on test day, I still passed. I honestly was thinking I hadn’t, simply because I didn’t drive to his usual standard, but by test standards it was a solid pass. I even joked with my examiner afterwards that “by Dorran’s standard that was a really bad drive for me,” and he replied, “If that’s a bad drive for you, then you must be a very safe driver.” That sums it up: if you can meet his level in lessons, it gives you room for small nerves on the day and still succeed. He adapts his teaching style to suit you. If one approach doesn’t click, he always has another. He’s extremely knowledgeable and genuinely listens to feedback from his pupils. I’d describe his teaching style as strict but fair — in the best way. I never once felt he was being harsh; he simply wants you to succeed and pushes you to reach your potential. I’m a very nervous person and don’t always take constructive criticism well 😂 but he delivers feedback in a way that keeps your confidence and morale high. His balance of structure and encouragement is exactly what helped me progress. He manages to be extremely professional while still putting you at ease and keeping lessons enjoyable. The perfect balance of having a laugh while making full use of the lesson time. He really knows his stuff. I couldn’t have done it without him! Thank you to Dorran for getting me through this, and thank you to Jovelyn for arranging everything around my schedule. The best driving school, hands down. A big thank you to the team at En Route and especially to Dorran who was a brilliant and patient instructor across all my lessons who showed genuine interest and care re my progress and gave a lot of pro tips. Lessons were very punctual and reliable and it was easy to keep track of and book lessons on the app which also updates your progress so you have a record of areas you need to improve in. All this made it a very seemless and enjoyable experience.
