Celtic Rider Training

I’ve just passed my Mod 2 with Celtic riding school and I highly recommend Simon if you’re looking to learn. The lessons were thorough and well organised. Simon is very knowledgable and could explain all the riding technique I needed to become a confident rider well in time for the test. The Susuki SV650 bike was well maintained and a fun bike to learn on. The heated grips definitely helped on a rainy day. From booking the lessons over the phone to riding back after the test, Simon made the whole process seamless and enjoyable. Thanks Simon!

Highly recommended. Simon is a very calm and knowledgeable instructor, with a relaxed and friendly teaching style. From never having ridden a motorbike before (apart from a mate's Vespa around a car park 20 years ago), Simon took me through CBT, and DAS and I left the test centre after my Mod 2 pass yesterday feeling confident and relaxed on the road. Simon uses SV650s which are easy to get to grips with for a learner, while still giving you reason to grin when you twist the throttle. I'm going to get some miles under my belt now, but will definitely be thinking about some advanced training with Celtic Rider Training in a year or two. Cheers Simon!

Simon is a very patient and professional bike instructor, would definitely recommend him to anyone who wants to make their first step at motorcycle riding. Initially contacted some other schools but had no response at all, seems they didn't care about losing 1 or 2 business. Simon replied really quick and sorted training time with me. After that every time it was easy to arrange lessons with Simon. Simon was also very patient and well-communicated. At the test centre I saw some other riding instructors, from what I saw Simon was definitely more patient and nicer than them. He'd answer almost all your questions, sometime I even felt he's too nice! Definitely will do some advanced training with him in the future. 5/5 recommend!

Huge thank you to Simon and Celtic rider training! Passed mod 2 today and mod 1 two weeks ago with Simons fantastic training after not touching a bike for 12 years. What I like about Simon’s methods are how he teaches you how to think for yourself, to think like a biker and not just teach you how to pass a test. I spoke to Simon about completing the Direct Access Course after being told I needed to ride a 125 for a year by Bike Train Wales on completion of my CBT. Bike train Wales had dented any confidence I had built. I explained my riding experience to Simon, which was very limited and he agreed to give me an opportunity I had craved! I complete Simons DAS training and both mod 1 and 2!tests, passing them both with no issues what so ever. I owe everything to Simons ability to teach the techniques needed to pass both mod 1 and 2, as well as overall road safety. Simon displayed professionalism and dedication with his students! I would recommend any one who wants to learn to ride a motorcycle the CORRECT way to choose Simon. Thanks for everything Simon, you have helped me achieve a life goal I wasn’t sure was possible!! I contacted Simon @ Celtic riders in January 2022 and completed my CBT, MOD1 and MOD2 with him over the past few weeks. Simon has a calm demeanor and encourages you to ask lots of questions, this combination provides a relaxed but focused experience when completing training with him. I felt safe and in control because of his guidance on and off the road which boosted my confidence when it came to test time. Highly recommended!

Can't thank Simon enough, his professional and patient attitude keeps you motivated and calm whilst riding. He is always giving you hints and tips to help you improve and his bikes are of good quality too!! He doesnt take in too many students at once so has time for all of them.
