What customers say

Based on genuine customer reviews

Black Country Motorcycle Training draws consistent praise for its instruction across CBT, full licence and direct access training, with customers describing a calm and thorough approach that builds confidence at the rider's own pace. Reviewers often mention Steve, Mat and other instructors for their patience, clear explanations of manoeuvres and detailed knowledge of test routes, which many say made the practical test feel far more relaxed.

Amber and Sarah come up often for their friendly and efficient handling of bookings, with several customers noting how quickly they were fitted in and how welcome they were made to feel. The teaching is described as professional yet down to earth, balancing humour with safety, and lessons are adapted to individual ability so that riders leave knowing exactly what to work on. Communication before and during training is singled out, with questions answered fully and feedback given directly but constructively.

Several customers report returning for further lessons, renewals or a full test after an initial CBT, and the atmosphere around the Wolverhampton operation is described as supportive throughout. Praise centres on the reassurance provided to riders with minimal experience and the practical route knowledge that eases test-day nerves, alongside the steady progress many attribute to their instructors.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Guys managed to squeeze me in last minute for a mod 2! Trainers are amazing, give good clear information and very knowledgable on test routes, which makes everything so much more relaxed on test when you’ve already covered the area/route!

Absolutely superb team! I always wanted to learn to ride but never had the chance until now and the team at BCMT were brilliant. From starting out on the pad with a 125 on an icy, freezing day in Jan 2024 to getting around to completing my Mod 2 on a snowy, rainy, flooded day in Feb 2026…the journey was made ever easier and more enjoyable by the skilled team at BCMT. If you’ve ever wanted to ride, you won’t go wrong these guys Here’s to some dry sunny days…ride safe !

I can't recommend highly enough. From initial discussion with a lady about booking a refresher lesson to the actual lesson everything went smoothly. The instructor Kev was always encouraging, patient and building my confidence even when I initially was doubting myself because i couldn't ride like i did years ago. Everything was done at my pace nothing rushed. The ride out on the roads was fun and confidence building thanks to a very friendly instructor. Well worth the money. I just need to remember to cancel my indicators lol.

Did a CBT before I start doing lessons for the A2 - Wolverhampton site. As an FYI, there is parking inside (go to the address, press the button to the gate that will rise, and keep a sharp eye out on your right, there will be some gates and the unit saying BCMT. Course was quite in depth compared to a past experience, I learned some new things (after previously riding for more than a year). The day went like this: de briefs, motorcycle features and buttons, checking out the side stand and stuff, being shown around a motorcycle, then I think there was some highway code stuff for about 30 mins, riding around in the enclosed area (clutch control, lifesavers, gear changes, breaking, figure of 8, u turn, etc), following this if you and the instructor is comfortable, you go back inside to go over some more stuff, he asks how comfortable you are, and maybe does some more of the above if necessary, then ending the day is a minimum of 2 hours on the road, which acts as a kind of evaluation (this is the most important part I'd say, as they can only sign you off if you can safely ride without endangering yourself or others). Instructor does a good job at ensuring safety for beginners, and if you don't manage to get your cbt on this date, they let you re test for free which is solid. Happy riding!

I completed and passed my full Motorbike A licence with the great Team at Black Country Motorcycle Training. Steve was an amazing thoughtful and experience teacher and I can't recommend these guys enough. Also big thanks to Amber and Sarah for helping with all the bookings and making me feel at home. I love riding, thankyou 👍

Fantastic school. I did my direct access training at the Dunstal site and thoroughly enjoyed it. All the staff are friendly and helpful and my instructor Steve was very patient and knowledgeable. Highly recommended!
