4.9 / 5 · 894 totalSo I did my CBT with Alan back last year. I wasn't amazing at it, the course however was ran very well, Alan even threatened to put me on a scooter instead of the bike if I couldn't get my act together (in a good way!) That pushed me to pass the CBT on the bike successfully! A year on and being on my own 125, I thought that it was time to go for the A category licence. I did my DAS training mainly with Alan again, passed my MOD1 first time with no minors and just recently passed my MOD2 first time. Alan is an absolute gem of an instructor, tells you where you went wrong, never making you feel down about yourself but is always a good laugh. I'll miss my trips down to A1 and the ride outs around Dunston and Newcastle, they were a blast. (The new Hornets they have are excellent!) Thank you again for everything and I'm sure I'll pop by with a thank you card some day, but for now, I'm sick of the sight of Dunston roads for a while! 😂
Completed both my mod 1 and 2 progession to unrestricted here after not riding for a while. The reception staff were professional and fast at getting it all booked in to work around my schedule. The instructors are great, making sure to cover everything from the very start, always double checking to make sure the learners are confident and happy with everything theyve learned so far before continuing. Definitely reccomend and will be direct friends and family here in the future.
Passed my CBT today with A1 Elite Motorcycle Training! Bear in mind I’ve barely sat on a bike let alone ridden one. My instructor Simon was brilliant, took time to explain everything in laymen’s term so I understood, made sure I was comfortable after being nervous. All the guys there were great, really down to earth and encouraged all the way. Will definitely be back for my Mod1 and 2. If you’re contemplating doing a CBT I would highly recommend these guys! Really made me feel at ease the whole day, even when I had a wobble and made mistakes they were great!
Have just successfully passed my CBT today. What a team of people at this business, I cannot sing their praises enough. I had an issue with a certain manoeuvre, and the Help and support I received was outstanding. The training is top class, and the two hour ride out was just so so good, feeling so confident now after that today. Any questions you ask, is treat with time and patience, your never left feeling daft or that you should not of asked. At 63 I was nervous, but wow, all I can say is age is just a number if you’re thinking of doing it, get it done you will not regret it. I wish you all the best for your future, you will never fail as a business when you’re this good. Once again a massive thank you, am really chuffed with what I have achieved today, but would never of made it without your support Take care stay safe Linda
If your looking to get through your Bike licence this is the place in the NE. From start to finish, could not recommend A1 enough. Done my CBT, Mod 1 and Mod 2 first time here at A1. Every single member of staff is 10/10, and will train you to be road ready and most importantly safe in a very short space of time (CBT to Full licence 3.5 weeks). I feel like no other schools around the area will be able to match what A1 does. There may possibly be ‘cheaper’ schools around, but cheaper means nothing when it comes to going through lessons then failing the tests then rebooking, repaying for bike hire, more lessons etc, their standards are top level. Prime example for myself was 4 days before my Mod 2 was seriously nervous and let it get to me on a lesson. Alan identified this, and the following days lesson got Richie to take me out 1-1 instead of the group to rerun through things and break it back down to basics. Left there feeling 100x better after that lesson, 3 days later passed Mod 2. On the test it was early morning rush hour, various things happened on the road that outside my power could have caused me to fail. But i honestly put it down to A1 and the level/standard they go to, to teach you how to be safe on the road and counteract these types of situations to manoeuvre around them as safely as possible, to the point where the assessor could have used various scenarios to fail me, but due to the fact how i have been taught to get out of these scenarios as safely as possible, i did pass the Mod 2 first time aswell as Mod 1. Really cannot thank the staff enough here for all the help and top level of support they gave me. Would absolutely recommend to anyone. 5 ⭐️
I just passed my A2 licence with A1 motorbike training. If you are in or around Newcastle this is 100% the best training school to go with. It is right next door to the test centre so makes things nice and easy, the teachers are very clear and guide you through everything very well. The organisation is also top tier of A1 with the office being able to chop and change things to suit your needs. A special thanks to Alan and James for my lessons throughout the mod 1 and mod 2. Thank you A1!!
Just completed my DAS course to get my unrestricted A license with A1, passing both modules first time. I cannot recommend this place enough to anybody wanting to do any level of motorcycle training. I had Alan and James for most of my DAS lessons and they are both absolutely brilliant. Ricky and the rest of the team are all so welcoming and easy to speak to. Anybody thinking of getting their CBT or DAS done there isn’t a better place than A1.
