About the company
Uplands School of Motoring has provided driving training since 1984 and operates in Swansea. The school employs male and female experienced driving instructors, all of whom are trained by its in-house training team and hold Grade A status. Its instructor trainers are Driving Standards Agency Approved Grade A instructors.
The school joined the Institute of Advanced Motorists in 1985. Instructors hold a further education teachers certificate and are qualified in Fleet training (company vehicles) and ORDIT (instructor training). The school provides on-going CPD for instructors. Its pupil base is drawn mainly from recommendations from current and past pupils. The school's objective is to teach pupils to drive and not just to pass a driving test. The school uses modern dual controlled cars. It offers driving lessons.

I had Lorne as my driving instructor, just passed. Couldn’t have asked for anything more from him. He was supporting from the very start and was a huge part of my journey learning how to drive. Helped me analyse my mistakes and made sure I learned from them.
Lorne was a great instructor, he took me on after I failed my first test and prepared me very well for my second which I passed! He’s very patient, thorough and punctual, would definitely recommend to any beginner especially!

I had such a great experience learning to drive with David. He is very patient, friendly, and always explains everything clearly, which really helped build my confidence on the roads as well as understanding how cars work. Each lesson was well organised, and i always felt supported, even when i made mistakes. Highly recommend him to anyone wanting to learn to drive!!

Excellent experience with my instructor Nash, he is a spot on! He was very patient, calm and informative. He provided every detail to pass the test, and most importantly, he took me to the possibility routes, and provided me with tips and advices on how to avoid driving faults. Nash is a great example of a professional teacher as well as being friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend it.
