1.0 / 5 · 1 totalI honestly feel completely let down by Sure Pass Liverpool – instructor Martin Burke. I’ve wasted around 30 hours and come away with very little confidence or understanding, despite being a new learner who needed proper guidance. There was never any clear lesson plan or structure — each session felt completely unorganised and random. Even after all that time, I was never properly taught the basics like manoeuvres, reversing, or parking. He knew I had my test coming up soon and still didn’t make any effort to prepare me. No sat-nav lessons, no mock tests, no structure — just the same routine every time. When I told him I wasn’t confident and asked if we could do more mock tests, he said he “usually only does one mock test before the exam and that’s it.” That’s completely unacceptable when learners are paying for proper training to help them pass safely and confidently. He even mentioned several times that most of his pupils fail their driving test - which honestly says everything about his attitude and approach to teaching. It felt like he had no real interest in helping them succeed. Every lesson ended 15–20 minutes early too, which is very unprofessional and unfair when you’re paying for a full session. I eventually failed my test — and it’s no surprise, given that I was never taught the full syllabus or told I wasn’t ready. I genuinely urge Sure Pass Liverpool to look into this instructor’s training methods. Learners deserve structure, and professionalism — not wasted hours, poor teaching, and false confidence. This experience has been extremely disappointing, and I hope it helps stop others from going through the same.
