Raven Motorcycle Training Derby

Just got my CBT certificate yesterday I would definitely recommend going to take your test there. All the staff were brilliant and taught me everything I need to know Thank you very much see you on the roads 💪

Did my A2 DAS (pay as you go) here and passed first time with these guys. Best school in Derby without a doubt. Everything runs like clockwork for this places customers.. Sarah had top tier communication and was transparent with booking dates, Tall guy with the triumph tiger (instructor(forgot his name, sorry!!!)) was super super friendly, relatable and had the patience and calmness of a monk (just what a learner needs) even in the pissing rain, when you screwed up, he never made it feel like your fault and instead focused on continuous improvement. JT was in charge of taking us to and from the respective mod 1 and mod 2 tests.. firm but fair, and it’s clear that this school has a great relationship with the local test center and its examiners. The boss was upfront and honest with us from day 1 and explained the pay as you go system (which ensures that you only pay for the lessons you need) - everyone was super friendly, all the kit was provided and both mod 1 and mod 2 were booked in super super quickly, even in the middle of summer. Thanks to Raven, I’ve spent this evening buzzing around on my new shotgun 650 twin. 10/10, see you guys in a couple of years for my full A license!

Amazing in depth walkthrough. Jim and Mark both lovely, helpful instructors and told me through entirety of CBT. Had a lot of fun and would reccomend to people looking to get into renewal or training.

Did my cbt here today and absolutely loved it. Was nervous coming in at first but Andy, Sarah and everyone else made me feel very confident and comfortable. I came in knowing nothing about bikes and never rode one before but i will have no worries getting on the road now. Always having a laugh and setting a great atmosphere but criticism was there when needed which was very helpful. Thanks guys

Did my CBT on 17th May. Initially I was nervous but Mark and Nigel took those nerves away from me quickly! On top of that they were so welcoming and we all had a good laugh- it turned out to be a really nice day. Once I get my bike I will definitely go back to them for more learning and tips. Highly recommend this place! 😎

Highly recommended and I can see why. Completed by geared CBT in July 2025 with Andy. Great day, really informative. Went out and got a 125cc and decided I wanted to complete my mods starting March 2026. Got two days booked in with Nigel for training and then had my mod 1 test (passed). Booked in one more day, this time with Jim and had my mod 2 test (passed). Great instructors, super insightful and honest. They’ll pull you up where you need it and really want you to be a safe rider. Love the break time chat and banter. All 3 instructors put me at ease and had a good laugh every single day (even in the pouring rain!). Honourable mention to Sarah, for just being Sarah 🤣 Thank you all so much, will pop in soon! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Passed my mod 2 today and all thanks to the absolutely incredible team at Raven! I have more local training companies nearby as I live in Leicestershire and was recommended Raven by all my mates who completed their training and tests here and I can honestly say I’m so glad I listened to them. The whole team at Raven were welcoming from the very start when I arrived to do my cbt with very little bike experience and trained me all the way to now having a full licence. Extra special thanks to Nigel who trained me the whole way through, knowledgeable, patient and made me feel at ease throughout having a laugh while still teaching to get me the result I needed. Anyone who is looking to get their bike license I can’t recommend Raven enough!! Thanks again and il be sure to call by and see you all at some point!
