I had Matt as my trainer for my CBT at their Stoke site. Immediately felt comfortable with him and his training methods, he always asked if we felt we had done enough of a certain maneuver and if we were ok to move on. Could not recommend LDC enough.
I've recently completed my CBT with LDC Aaron was my instructor great guy really easy to get along with nothing was too much trouble for him on the day great guy thank you
Great school to learn at Aron and Simon helped me a lot to pass they also like cracking jokes which helped calm your nerves down and make it a enjoyable experience. Tim however was alright but could have a bit more understanding that I’m autistic and sometimes you need like a minute to calm down after so much information I did mention it when I booked the cbt but I guess the instructors didn’t get told that. cheers Simon for helping us out with junctions.
Honestly, couldn’t recommend these guys enough, were patient, encouraging, helped so much to build my confidence. May have not got my licence today but that’s because of my confidence which greatly improved once I was more open and honest with them and yet was still a very positive experience. Ben and Aaron are incredible instructors. Thank you so much for today lads, hopefully see you again soon. Their humour is perfect aswell. Know exactly how to make you comfortable. Better than MT in Fenton. Go to these guys. Best experience which a CBT I’ve had yet.
Passed my CBT with Tim. Amazing instructor, not only built my skills but also my on confidence on the road. I went from not being able to not ride a bicycle at the start of my first CBT, to being fully confident riding a moped by the time I passed. Really appreciate his effort and teaching. Thanks Tim!
There are many other schools to do your CBT with, I would personally avoid this one. I went to the Stoke site and the instructor said he believes it should be a two day course, already a red flag, unless hes seen us be dangerous which he hasn't, i think he said this to prepare us for when he already had in mind to make us come back again. Myself and another young 17 year old female student were the only two present for the CBT that day. She was very new to bikes while I had some experience, I was made to wait my turn until she was confident to do the maneuvers before I was able to go, this meant I spent a lot of time waiting around. Not the students fault at all and unfortunately this is probably just how things are when there's 1 instructor to 2 students. Fast forward, we were doing the slow maneuvers and while at standstill the instructor explained how the bikes will vibrate as we use throttle to balance the bikes, during this moment he said girls sometimes carry a towel and that they see bikes as a giant vibrating dildo. I awkwardly laughed because it caught me off guard because he was saying this to the 17 year old girl, I just looked down and didnt really respond. At the time I didnt take much notice of it because I was preoccupied trying to process what hes saying as he made other sexual remarks previously towards the girl which i only just realised reading between the lines and he would occasionally apologise "forgetting there were women present". I personally felt I performed good enough to be on the road but he saw me struggle with the gears which I said its the old bikes and not me, as I have a bike myself at home, I can get the gears in fine. He also said I struggled on junctions on the pad despite being a car driver for 10 years. I didnt argue back as at this point he already said id have to come back for a different day so arguing would have served no purpose. Fast forward to rebooking, I called the office a few days later and booked for the 11th of august, which i wasnt happy with as this was a whole month away and i had already bought a bike, insured, taxed and just needed my CBT. When asking about whether i need to pay on the day they said I can pay 2 weeks before my training day. Today I get an email, 2 weeks before my booking date, that someone else was given the right to take my booked and agreed date because they paid in full online, how is that fair or even right, I booked first and no one told me if I didnt pay someone else would get the right to my session. Where is the respect to clients and business etiquette? If I book for a restaurant table, do they offer my table reservation to someone else because they paid for the food in advance? Either a stupid system or silly staff that didnt book out my slot on the system manually as I called over the phone to book. Ive asked for them to cancel my session altogether, absolute terrible unprofessional instructors and disrespectful booking staff. Everything above is true and accurate to my personal experience and memory.
James was a great and knowledgeable instructor who explained everything in detail during my CBT refresher. It was an enjoyable day and I’m already thinking about returning to do the DAS in a few months.
