About the company

It is one of the only motorcycle training schools offering Category A and A2 on automatic motorcycles. It welcomes complete novices who have never ridden before. It provides Compulsory Basic Training (CBT) courses, Restricted Access training (geared and auto), Progressive Access training (geared and auto), Direct Access test training (geared and auto), motorway lessons, and back to bike refresher lessons.

Classroom and toilets are available on its training site. It uses a radar gun for Module 1 training. Safety equipment is available to hire for training, including hi-vis vest, helmets with built-in speakers and mic, gloves, jackets, trousers and boots. It uses Cardo Packtalk Edge 2-way communication units. Bikes available to hire include Category AM Piaggio Zip 50cc (automatic), Category A1 Honda MSX125cc GROM (geared), Category A2 Yamaha MT-03 (geared), Suzuki AN400 Burgman (automatic), Category A Suzuki SV650 (geared), and a Honda Rebel 1100 DCT (automatic).

What customers say

Based on genuine customer reviews

Based in Wigston on Saffron Lane, this motorcycle school operating from Aylestone Park Football Club draws consistent praise for its instructor Kev, who reviews regularly refer to for his patience, clear explanations and genuine investment in each rider's progress. Several accounts describe compressed Direct Access packages completed in only a handful of days, taking riders from a 125cc background through the practical modules to a full A licence, often with no or minimal faults recorded.

CBT training also features, sometimes as the starting point before moving straight into DAS work with the same instructor. Bikes mentioned by name include an MT-03, an SV650 and a Burgman 400 automatic, the latter noted as useful for A2 automatic licence candidates. Reviewers describe feeling well prepared for both theory and practical elements of testing, with lessons adapted to individual confidence levels and riders given encouragement alongside constructive correction when needed.

Multiple people mention passing first time after training here, and a number say they have since referred friends. The overall tone is of a relaxed but thorough teaching style, with riders feeling supported rather than rushed through their sessions. Opening hours run from eight in the morning until eight in the evening every day of the week, including weekends, allowing training to be arranged with considerable flexibility around other commitments.

Did my MOD 1&2 last week and it was a thoroughly positive experience. Kevin is a superb teacher, with lots of knowledge and a great way of putting it across. I Felt encouraged and supported (and maybe a little told off when necessary 😅)…all coming together perfectly, to help me achieve my full licence. Would highly recommend to anyone!

Kev and Nathan were both great during my recent DAS course (including CBT). Both were friendly, welcoming and professional throughout. One thing I really appreciated was Kev organising all the tests and timings were briefed well ahead, this meant that test days were that little bit less stressful. Couldn't recommend KJ's more!

I did my CBT and A license with KJ’s school of motoring. I had only ever ridden a 125cc, and within the days with Kev I passed both my Mod 1 and Mod 2 on the sv 650 first go! Such a brilliant instructor and would highly recommend him to anyone who’s wanting to do any bike license. Beyond thrilled and such a great experience.

Absolutely top notch training for my DAS Course. If you are looking to learn at any level look no further. Gold standard training from Kev left me proper prepared enabling me to pass mod 1 and 2 first time, and as a bonus he's a smashing fellah as well.
