I am from France, living now in wales and I needed some lessons to feel more confident driving here. I am very thankful that I found Dean, very nice, good listener and takes time to explain all that is needed. Thank you again for your good energy and your help!

Dean was a brilliant driving instructor for automatic driving lessons! I passed first time and felt extremely prepared for the test. During lessons he made me feel calm and at ease which was a great environment for learning espeically as a nervous driver. Would 10/10 recommend!

Dean is an absolutely fantastic driving instructor and without his support I would not have passed my driving test first time. It was really hard for me to initially find an automatic driving instructor who could offer the flexibility I needed as a parent, and Dean has been amazing and really understanding when it came to arranging my lessons around parenting. My lessons were always really useful, Dean always thoroughly explained manoeuvres to me in a way which was clear and understandable. I am really happy with all the support I received from him and recommend DLA to anyone looking for a kind, patient and supportive instructor!

Dean is an amazing instructor who I would highly recommend to anyone learning to drive. His calm and friendly demeanour made learning to drive an enjoyable experience. He explains everything clearly and patiently, often using visual aids that make even the most challenging aspects of driving feel manageable. Dean was also incredibly flexible and accommodating with my busy schedule, always making an effort to find lesson times that suited me. I finally passed my driving test today after a few attempts, and I honestly couldn’t be happier. It’s been a long journey, and not always a great one—I had some really disappointing experiences with previous driving schools, which knocked my confidence quite a bit. Switching to DLA was the best decision I made. From my very first lesson with Dean, everything felt different. He quickly picked up on the bad habits I’d developed and worked through them with me patiently and clearly. What I appreciated most was how calm and honest he is—no pressure, no judgment, just straightforward guidance and constant encouragement. Dean gives feedback in a way that actually sticks, and that made a huge difference for me. Lesson by lesson, I could feel my confidence growing—not just to pass the test, but to actually become a safe and capable driver. Today’s result means a lot, but more importantly, I now feel ready to drive independently, and that’s down to him. I genuinely couldn’t have done it without his support. If you’re looking for an instructor who really cares and knows how to bring out the best in you, I can’t recommend Dean enough.
